Character Name: Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy
Character Canon: The Batman - an animated version of the Batman comics, seperate from the DCAU, with it's own timeline. OU.
Character Age/Gender: 20 / Female.
Canon Point: Following her arrest at the end of "Batgirl Begins: Part 2".
Character Canon History: http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Poison_Ivy_(The_Batman)
Character Personality: Pamela Isley, later named Poison Ivy following her accident, is a very strong-willed person.  When she dedicates herself to a cause, she fights with all her determination to carry it out, and is willing to go to whatever extremes to accomplish her goals, even if it's immoral or illegal.  She doesn't care what other people think of her or her behavior.

Pam is very cynical and distrusting of most human beings, as most of them have let her down all her life, from her neglectful parents and onward.  She is extremely insolent to authority figures like the police, and openly rude and hostile to all those that she harbors a dislike for.

While Pam has always had a great love of plants, vastly preferring them to people, this love increased tenfold when she was transformed into Poison Ivy.  Now part-plant herself, Pam's mind became unbalanced and unstable.  Her desire to protect all plant life turned completely irrational and her zealotry turned murderous.

After becoming Poison Ivy, Pam's sexual side was awoken as well.  Now knowing that she is beautiful, Pam exploits her sexuality to her advantage, acting flirtatious and seductive to ensnare victims.  If she needs to, she even uses a special pheromone that takes control of one's mind, forcing them into love with her.

However, Pam is not without her good qualities.  Her spunkiness and determination to not let any setback get her down is admirable, as is her desire to make the world a better place for the environment.  She is intelligent and quick-thinking, always making plans and backup plans for her acts of ecoterrorism.  She can be sociable and charming when in a good mood, and she posseses a good sense of humor, whether it be light sarcasm toward others or even poking fun at herself.

And when Pam meets a human being she actually likes, then it's hard for her to shake off her feelings toward them.  Two examples are Barbara Gordon and Harley Quinn.  Barbara was Pam's best friend before she became Poison Ivy.  A fellow redhead (they liked to call each other "Red"), Barbara was like the younger sister Pam never had, and was the only one to really give her a chance and help her in her environmental causes, even when her own father, the commissioner of police in Gotham, disapproved.  As Poison Ivy, Pam misses Barbara greatly and wishes she'd come and join her in her cause again some day.

Pam met Harley Quinn in issue 41 of the supplementary "The Batman Strikes!" comic series,  when the latter was breaking out of Arkham Asylum.  Harley took pity on Ivy and released her too, and the two girls proceeded to have a night on the town committing crimes together, becoming fast friends in the process.  If Barbara was like a younger sister to Pam, Harley is the older sister.  This relationship is more complicated, though, as Pam is actually much more intelligent, collected, and mature than the manic, scatter-brained Harley, and so Harley's attempts to play the responsible big sister role frequently fail and rub Pam the wrong way.  However, she knows Harley is only trying to help, so she tolerates this.

Deep down, Pam has a conscience.  She knows what she does is wrong and that it hurts people, sometimes those close to her, and she occasionally lets her regret show.  She also has a hard time watching others commit heinous acts of brutality, such as when she was held captive by Lex Luthor and was forced to observe him physically beating Superman, who had been rendered helpless by kryptonite.  However, Pam's will ultimately trumps her conscience, and she continues in her life of crime.

AU Information: N/A
Character Abilities: Pamela Isley became Poison Ivy when she was infected with a mutated plant fertilizer, turning her part plant herself.  As such, she has the ability to control plant life telepathically, even through her subconscious when she herself is unconscious.  She can communicate with plants through her mind and issue mental commands to move and attack, even granting them the power to grow.  The plants she controls can be shaped into human form and granted a degree of sentience.  She is also able to use spores and pheromones to take control of the minds of all non-plant life such as human beings, rendering them emotionless drones with no choice or free will of their own.
Character Inventory: Nothing.
Samples: "Poison Ivy."  Pamela Isley was starting to regret ever naming herself that.  Sure, it had sounded cool and threatening, and while she was in Gotham it had been a name that served her well.  But here in this place, it only seemed to drive people away from her, denying her the close physical contact she desperately needed.

She supposed she could just use her mind-controlling pheromones to get someone, but it just didn't feel right anymore.  Everyone else in this place seemed to be getting by without using such powers.  To have to rely on them would make Pam feel weaker, rather than stronger.

Well, there was always one person she could depend on for cuddling.  But that just confused her all the more.  Why her?  Why does Batgirl, her enemy, always accommodate her in these needs?  Perhaps it's just the foolishness of being a hero, the desire to help anyone no matter who they are.  But what if there was more to it than that?  Just what is Batgirl hiding?

Pam wasn't sure, but she knew that one day, she would find out.
